Here's some blocking....

Ok, So here's an animation I started a little while ago. It's good practice to take a short audio clip from a film and animate to it. This stage shows my blocking so far. It's here I get the camera where I want it and lay down my general acting poses and timing. It's good, I think, to stay really simple in the beginning. You want to make sure your poses are clear and read well with the dialogue. You can always add more little nuggets of detail later. From here, I'll start my first pass, I'll post that soon....

Ok, so I'm just now getting into this blogging thingy. Some of my friends have them, so I thought, "hey, if they're doing it...".
I'm going to use this blog to talk about animation or Animazation! Like I said in my profile, I'm an animator working in games since the beginning of 2005. It gives me such a great opportunity to make cool, dynamic motion that has to look good from all angles and a chance to work on acting when I'm on cinematics. I'm in no way any kind of authority when it comes to technique and all that, but I might chime in and talk about things that I have found helpful in my short, humble, ever-growing career. I also plan on showing examples of my work and talk about things I'm working on, personal and (as much as I can) professional. Ok, so stay tuned.
